Cristian Thom
Cristian Thom studied Biochemistry at the University of Zurich. In his master’s thesis, he worked on a project to bypass the innate immune system for the targeted infection of tumour cells by human adenoviruses.
After a year at the High Throughput Binder Selection Facility, he began his dissertation in the group of Prof. Andreas Plückthun. He focused on investigating the structure and function of G protein-coupled receptors. In his subsequent postdoctoral studies he then explored the receptors’ interaction with recombinant antibodies.
Cristian Thom has been a scientific staff member in the Teaching Team since June 2025.
